MissChief was first conceived in February 2002 when Camilla McLean, an account manager at J Walter Thompson advertising agency was cooking up a dinner party for 10 spirited single friends. The theme was Far Eastern, so Camilla whipped up some slightly wonky looking fortune cookies, but rather than filling them with twee messages, Camilla hid forfeits inside designed to get the guests to interact and get the dinner party going.

The cookies went down a treat, so Camilla consulted her mother (Camille Ortega), who immediately loved the idea and they set to work developing a luxurious chocolate dipped wafer curl containing one of many forfeits (written and embellished by Mark Daniell). Shortly afterwards our character MissChief was born, brought to life by illustrator Debbie Boon.

MissChief’s Original Forfeit Cookies were launched at IFE 2002 to very generous reviews by a number of publications (including Sunday Times Style and Observer Food Monthly which you can see among many others in MissChief’s press cuttings).

Since then we have developed MissChief’s Hen Night Forfeit Cookies and MissChief’s Intimate Forfeit Cookies and this year will see MissChief broadening her horizons, needless to say, the new products will be a breath of fresh air to guests and hostesses alike. We like to think MissChief is the life and soul of the party and so we will keep creating and finding new products to help her entertain, indulge and excite her fans.
